Who qualifies?
A SketchUp Pro Student License can only be purchased by a student who is currently studying at an accredited educational institution. To qualify for the Student License you must have an email address from an accredited educational institution (.edu) or a valid academic ID with a picture and visible enrollment date. If you have an '.edu' email address, please use it when ordering through our online store; it will simplify the order process and allow us to send your license information almost immediately. If you do not have a '.edu' email address, your order will be fulfilled by an educational software reseller.
Please note that SketchUp for Education Licenses are to be used for educational purposes only; they should not be used for commercial (for-profit) work of any kind.
How much does the Google SketchUp Pro Student License cost?
Google SketchUp Pro Student Licenses cost $49 per year.
How are Student Licenses different from regular commercial licenses?
Like all of our educational licenses, our Student License and our regular commercial license work exactly the same; we haven't put any limitations on printing, saving, or anything else. The only difference is that Student Licenses expire while commercial licenses don't.
When do Student Licenses expire?
Student Licenses are valid for ONE YEAR from their date of purchase, and are renewable each year with additional purchase.
What happens when the next version of SketchUp is released?
As with all SketchUp for Education licenses, version upgrades are free.
Can I upgrade from a Student License to a full commercial license later on?
Every dollar spent on Student Licenses counts toward the purchase of a commercial license later on, and upgrades of Student Licenses are always free. Money spent on Student Licenses can be applied toward the price of a commercial license. For Student Licenses purchased after December 31st, 2005, money must be redeemed within one year of the expiration date of the last Student License purchased by the student.

Will I get a disk?
Everything on the disk is available for download free from this website. Because of this, we do not offer CD's for sale.
