Installing Google SketchUp
If you haven't downloaded Google SketchUp, please click here to download our software. If you encounter issues downloading Google SketchUp, click here for assistance.
After downloading the file, please follow these steps to install Google SketchUp:
Windows- Log in to the computer with a user account that has administrator rights. For more information, click here.
- Double-click on the EXE install file.
Windows Vista: right-click and select Run as an administrator.
- Click Next in the Welcome dialog box.
- You may be asked to install the .NET Framework at this point. This software is required for Google SketchUp Pro. For more information, please click here.
If you're asked to reboot after installing the .NET Framework, please do so. To resume installing SketchUp, double-click on the SketchUp install file after your computer reboots.
- Click on the I accept the terms of this license agreement button in the End User License Agreement if you agree to the terms.
- Click the Next button to install SketchUp in the default location.
- Click the Install button if you're satisfied with the settings.
- Click on the Finish button when prompted.
Windows Vista: Be sure to close SketchUp Pro after installing prior to authorizing.
- Launch Google SketchUp once before logging out of the administrative user account. If you have a Google SketchUp Pro license, please be aware that you must authorize while logged in to an administrative account. Please click the appropriate link below for further authorization assistance.
- Log in to the computer with a user account that has administrator rights. For more information, click here.
- Double-click on the DMG install file. This will mount the installer drive and launch a Finder window.
- Double-click on the ".mpkg" file. This will launch the installer window.
- Click Continue in the Introduction section.
- If you accept the Software License Agreement, click the Continue button then click Agree.
- Select the destination for the installation, and click Continue.
- Click the Install button. You may be prompted for your user account Password to authorize the installation.
- When the installation completes, click the Close button.
- If you have a Google SketchUp Pro license, please be aware that you must authorize while logged in to an administrative account. Please click the appropriate link below for further authorization assistance.
Authorizing Google SketchUp Pro
If you have a Google SketchUp Pro license, please click the appropriate link below based on your license type and OS:
- Authorize Google SketchUp Pro for PC with a single-user license.
- Authorize Google SketchUp Pro for PC with a Network License.
- Authorize Google SketchUp Pro for Mac.
