This message is displayed when SketchUp is unable to write the auto-save file to the default location. Please visit this help article for more information.
Please ensure that you have the latest version of Google SketchUp. If you already have it, the DWG/DXF file may be corrupt. You can verify if the file is corrupt by running the Audit command in AutoCAD.
The maximum number of instances of SketchUp that your license allows is open on your network. If this number hasn't been reached, try restarting your computer and disconnecting from the internet while authorizing.
The maximum number of instances of SketchUp that your Network license allows is open on your network. If this number hasn't been reached, a conflict may be causing this error.
If you're using a Single-User license, we suggest uninstalling, and then re-installing Google SketchUp Pro. If you're using a Network license, please make sure that the license file exists.
Please copy and paste your serial number and authorization number (Mac = key). Typing these numbers may result in errors. Likewise, make sure you're using the correct serial number for the version of SketchUp Pro you're using.
Please copy and paste your Google SketchUp Pro 7 serial number and authorization number (Mac = key). If you're copying line-by-line, please ensure there are no spaces at the end of the lines. Typing these numbers may result in errors.
On a PC Google SketchUp Pro 6 requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, and Google SketchUp Pro 7 requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. During install, SketchUp will detect whether the appropriate version of the .NET Framework is installed, and if missing will prompt you to download and install the package. Click the Yes or Accept button to install the package.
This can happen if you 'Tab' or click on the Measurements box to enter information. To work around this issue, begin drawing your entity and start typing on your keyboard to enter values to the Measurements box. Your input will be accepted without having to manually activate the Measurements box.
SketchUp 7.1 uses a new rendering engine, Alchemy, that introduces a number of benefits to SketchUp performance. At this time, this rendering engine is only used when displaying a SketchUp model in the workspace. If you export a 2D image, SketchUp uses the old rendering engine and the resulting image may appear different than what you see in the workspace.
Clicking on the original Dynamic Component (DC) with an onClick attribute, like animate or change color, changes all copies of the DC. However, clicking on a copy of the original DC affects just that copy.
To transfer your custom locations from a previous version of SketchUp, you'll first need to find the sketchup.tzl file (prior to SketchUp 6 M3) or locations.dat file (Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 6\Support\) . Open the file with a text editor, copy the contents, and paste them into the new version of SketchUp's locations.dat file (Program Files\Google\Google Sketchup #\Resources\en-US\).
You select a new Material from the Choose Options drop-down and nothing happens. This is likely caused by the author of the component purging the model before saving or uploading to the 3D Warehouse. In this case there isn't a way to retrieve the missing textures, but authors should be careful to embed materials in the future.
The resolution for the 2D image is too large, such as 3000 pixels wide. To work around this issue, we suggest reducing the resolution to a smaller size.
If you have a LayOut 2.1 file with dimensions and save the file to LayOut 1.0 format, LayOut 1.0 can't open the file. To work around this issue, you must remove the dimension lines from the LayOut 2.1 file prior to saving in version 1.0 format.
SketchUp Dimensions with text Aligned to dimension line may not appear correctly in LayOut's vector mode. To ensure that the SketchUp and LayOut dimensions match, you'll need to either choose Raster rendering in LayOut, or Align to Screen in SketchUp.
Security in Windows Vista restricts users from saving files to a program folder, when a file is saved to that location it is actually placed in a user specific folder. To see your created file you'll need to navigate to the folder you had selected for creation, then click "Compatibility Files" to see the associated folder. Please be aware that you'll only see your file in this new folder but SketchUp will see the contents of both folders.
